No one that has known me for any length of time is surprised by where I am nowadays. Not that I like to think of myself as a forgone conclusion, but it is what it is. From the Florida Keys to Kamchatka, childhood lakes to college majors, tournaments to commercial fishing the only constant in my life has been water and the challenges it provides.

I chased learning everything about fish and fishing anywhere I went in my younger days, and I was fortunate enough to get to learn first hand from some incredible fisherman. Eventually, it was Steelhead that I knew wanted to call home. This passion for the fish and the rivers of the PNW is still as strong as ever.

I consider the lower Deschutes my home river, and one of the most rewarding places to chase a steelhead. Challenging water and a stunning environment, combined with aggressive fish make for a complete angling experience.

I have always been a nerd for the details as well, having tied my own flies and built my own rods since grade school.
